Marty Forscher Fellowship
The Marty Forscher Fellowship recognizes students and young professionals with a talent for humanistic photography. The fund will award two grants in 2009. One emerging Professional will receive $3,000, one Student winner will receive $1,500.
ASMP Arnold Newman Prize
The ASMP Arnold Newman Prize, supported by Getty Images, Canon and Photo District News is awarded to a photographer who demonstrates the traditions and values of newman's portrait photography. Dorothea Lange-Paul Taylor Documentary Prize

The Emerging Photographer Grant
A $10,000 grant will be awarded to a worthy emerging photographer whose work is on the highest level. Funding would be designed to support continuation of this photographers personal project. This body of work may be of either journalistic mission or purely personal artistic imperatives.

The W. Eugene Smith Grant in Humanistic Photography is presented annually to a photographer whose past work and proposed project, as judged by a panel of experts, follows the tradition of W. Eugene Smith's compassionate dedication exhibited during his 45-year career as a photographic essayist.
The W. Eugene Smith Memorial Fund independently administers the grant program that provides photographers with the financial freedom to carry out or complete major photographic essays. For 2009, the amount of the grant was $30,000. An additional $5,000 in fellowship money was dispersed, at the discretion of the jury, to finalists deemed worthy of special recognition. Awards will be presented in a ceremony held in New York City in early October.

For photographers who are either attending a full-time photography course or are under the age of 24. Entrants must submit a portfolio of their work and a brief synopsis of a project they would undertake if they won the scholarship. The prize is £2,500 towards their assignment. The Harry Chapin Media Awards
The Harry Chapin Media Awards, formerly the World Hunger Media Awards, were created in 1982 to encourage the media to "tell the story of hunger and poverty." The Fund for Investigative Journalism

The Sidney Hillman Foundation awards are among the most prestigious awards given to journalists, photographers, writers and public figures whose work supports social and economic justice. In later years, photography and, most recently, blogging, were added as prize categories.

The Emerging Photographer Grant
A $10,000 grant will be awarded to a worthy emerging photographer whose work is on the highest level. Funding would be designed to support continuation of this photographers personal project. This body of work may be of either journalistic mission or purely personal artistic imperatives.
The Emerging Photographer Fund grant was initiated by David Alan Harvey in 2008, and is awarded by the Magnum Foundation, a non-profit created by the the member photographers from Magnum Photos, Inc.

Alexandra Boulat Scholarship
It will be offered to a young photojournalist, male or female, under 35 year old. To honor the memory of Alexandra Boulat, who taught at TPW in these last years, TPW has created a special scholarship. This will consist in the possibility to attend a workshop in Tuscany for free (included room and board - not including travel expenses) and work under the guidance of master photographers.

W. Eugene Smith Memorial Fund
The W. Eugene Smith Grant in Humanistic Photography is presented annually to a photographer whose past work and proposed project, as judged by a panel of experts, follows the tradition of W. Eugene Smith's compassionate dedication exhibited during his 45-year career as a photographic essayist.
The W. Eugene Smith Memorial Fund independently administers the grant program that provides photographers with the financial freedom to carry out or complete major photographic essays. For 2009, the amount of the grant was $30,000. An additional $5,000 in fellowship money was dispersed, at the discretion of the jury, to finalists deemed worthy of special recognition. Awards will be presented in a ceremony held in New York City in early October.

Getty Images Professional award
Every year, Getty Images awards five professional photojournalists individual grants of $20,000 each, for a total of $100,000. Professional grant recipients are given the opportunity to sign a one-year exclusive-rights deal with Getty Images whereby their work will be marketed and available for license to customers worldwide through gettyimages.com, while retaining copyright of their imagery.

Ian Parry Scholarship
For photographers who are either attending a full-time photography course or are under the age of 24. Entrants must submit a portfolio of their work and a brief synopsis of a project they would undertake if they won the scholarship. The prize is £2,500 towards their assignment. Metro Imaging also offer £500 worth of vouchers to the winner and £250 to those awarded highly commended and commended.

The Inge Morath Award
The Inge Morath Award is organized in cooperation with Magnum Photos.

The Harry Chapin Media Awards
The Harry Chapin Media Awards, formerly the World Hunger Media Awards, were created in 1982 to encourage the media to "tell the story of hunger and poverty." The Media Awards honor print and electronic media for their outstanding coverage that positively impacts hunger, poverty and self-reliance. A total of US$12,500 in awards are handed out in five media categories: newspaper; magazines; broadcast; photojournalism; books.

The Fund for Investigative Journalism
The Fund for Investigative Journalism gives grants, ranging from $500 to $10,000, to reporters working outside the protection and backing of major news organizations. Grants are limited to journalists seeking pre-publication help for investigative pieces involving corruption, malfeasance, incompetence and societal ills in general as well as for media criticism.
